Dear Colleagues, Esteemed Academics, and Beloved Students,

We are honored and delighted to invite you to the 12th International and 16th National Midwifery Student Congress, which will be held in Safranbolu, a living witness to history and culture, between May 15-17, 2026.

This year´s congress takes its name and spirit from a very special "meeting". Safranbolu, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the capital of preservation, embraces midwifery, one of the oldest professions in human history, which is also on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list.

In light of these two universal values, we have chosen the main theme of our congress as: "Midwifery, a UNESCO Heritage Profession in a UNESCO Heritage City: Strengthening in the Light of History and Science".

We aim to carry the legacy of midwifery, which has witnessed the beginning of life from the past to the present, further, guided by scientific advancements and evidence-based practices. In the captivating historical atmosphere of Safranbolu, we will honor the past of our profession, discuss its present, and build its future with rich scientific programs, panels, courses, and social events.

To gain strength in the light of knowledge, to reinforce our professional identity, and to create unforgettable memories in the unique atmosphere of Safranbolu, we invite the entire midwifery community and future midwives to this historic gathering.
